Hubby & I have been discussing changes to the animal room & have decided to bring the piggies and bunny downstairs :D I've spent the last week or so thinking about how we can do this as we have 2 single buns, plus the 3 piggies! We've settled on a 3 tier c&c cage, 5x2. Our older bun will go on the top, he'll be getting an extra 1ft of space (currently in a liberta retreat xl), the piggies will have the same amount of space & be in the middle tier & our younger bun will be in the bottom tier with a run attached! Underneath we'll have storage boxes, so our younger bun will have steps to get into her run, which she will love! Here's a sketch of the set up..

All I need now are some cute bits to decorate it with, I will be putting bunting up. Hehe. Considering fairy lights in the roof of the piggies area if it's too dark, but probably only if we have to. Well be using white grids and either white correx or clear.

Husband isn't in a rush to have it set up, but I can't wait!

if you put a bun on the first two levels, then they could have a ramp each leading to a run. if you put your older bun on the lower tier then he/she would have less of a job with the ramp. the younger one could cope better with a longer ramp from the second tier, and then the piggies can come out for floor time because they're cage is a nice size anyway. i think 5x2 for one bun without the run is too small for them really. just an idea anyway :)

The older bun comes out for free run in the lounge :) The two buns don't get on, we tried bonding them this past weekend & it didn't go well. The younger one is a lot more active tho, given her age, so she'll have almost constant access to a run (only time we'll take it away is if we're in the room doing something that needs space, but the run will go back afterwards). Our older bun won't use a ramp or come out of his cage like that.. he's a funny thing! We can trust him to run free in the lounge tho as the younger bun won't be going in there, he doesn't chew wires or toilet anywhere other than his cage. Most of the time now though, he will hop about a bit & then just chill for hours! :))

Going by the buns names I take it you're a fan of Frasier? Brilliant show and names too :D

Haha, we are! We originally had Niles & Frasier, but unfortunately Frasier passed over a year ago from gut stasis :( Daphne was supposed to be Niles' new wifebun, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Glad the tv show didn't end like that! :D xx

He's only 6.5yrs now, still my little baby! He's out for a play now, ran around a bit.. We've had a few binkies, now it's time for a nap! Haha.

Looks great - I love the pics of your piggies in the plan :))

It's so accurate... :))

Just been browsing Pinterest for cage decorations & toy/bedding ideas. Don't know what I did before that site came along!
