As most of you know, I lost my guinea pig Leo a month ago today, I've noticed that Africa altho over the depression as far as I can see and he's eating and drinking, is not himself. He seems like a completely different pig now a days, shows me the whites of his eyes more then often like he's always terrifired. When I pick him up he sqweeks, drinks so much water, I can't say if thats changed because there was two pigs before. When I hold him he immediently wants to go back to his cage but moving to the right of me and staring at it. I assume he means what I think. He bites more now too...

Is it normal for them to change so much when alone?
 
I am not sure but whenever I have had a single pig in a cage (initial quarantine) they have been the same. Are you getting him a friend?
 
I think he is telling you he has something missing from his life and that he would like another piggy friend. He is probably bored and unstimulated and confused. He maybe drew courage from leo and no has no one to back him up?
 
He is probably missing his friend to hide behind and is very frightened now. Are you planning on getting him a new friend soon?

Ideally, the sooner the better!
 
Aye, I'm waiting for him to come of age to be given new homes. Getting one from clairelove (think thats the screen name). I don't know, Africa beat Leo up lol (not in a nasty, draw blood way) but maybe Leo was the more dominant one and Africa was trying to over throw him but never managed too, Leo never bothered but when he got annoyed would make sure Africa knew about it. I don't know... He's still Africa it's just some things have changed, I don't like how scared he is... I hug him everday and he enjoys running about on my bed whilst I read, he's just afraid when he's in his cage or being held on my lap.
 
Can you get him a little cuddly toy to snuggle into?
