Cervical Cancer Immunisation

Dee (16 years old, year 11) came home with a brochure for her to get the 3 vaccines within a period of 6 months for it to be successful.
Just wondering if you all have heard of this immunisation and if you have it in the UK?
Any comments would be welcome. Dee is a bit apprehensive, i think she should have it only cause as a mum i want her to have anything that might prevent her problems later.

I had heard it was going to be made available very soon. I'd have it.
But what most prob dont realise is you will still need the smear tests.

Having had laser treatment and biopsies and colposcopies (sp?) for pre cancerous cells, i would advise her to go for it.

The treatment I had was successful but unpleasant and stressful

I second Billies Mum, i've been through exactly the same and it is uncomfortable and stressful so anything that prevents that has to be good O0
