We would really like to get our GP's outside (currently in the garage) as the weather gets warmer and have been looking at the runs with a hutch and run area attached so they have a choice of where to be and somewhere to go if they are cold.

However

Our next door neighbours have 4 cats who have no fear, they happily come into our house if I leave the back door open. They would certainly jump on the cage. Am really worried about how this would affect the GP's, would they be scared to death?

What are our options?

"Scatter fresh orange and lemon peels or spray with citrus-scented fragrances. Coffee grounds, vinegar, pipe tobacco, or oil of lavender, lemongrass, citronella, or eucalyptus also deter cats. Plant the herb rue to repel cats, or sprinkle dried rue over the garden."

Could put this on top of the hutch? I've seen some people do it with mixed responses. I'd be careful how dangerous what you might chose could be to cats and wildlife beforehand though
