Cat Proof Roof for a C&C Cage

Hi,

I'm on the verge of making a 4*2 panel C&C cage to go in my conservatory over the winter for my piggies. We do have a cat and so I want to keep them safely roofed in case she decides to pay them a visit.

I've been looking at wire shelving on the internet but nothing seems to be either long enough or wide enough to make a secure roof for the piggies. Anyone have any tips or places to buy material from?

I think the finished dimensions will be 142cm * 71cm

Could you make it out of the C&C grids? It mightn't be as sturdy but I've seen them made of the grids.
