How do you make a suitable cat proof C&C ? like with a lid that can be lifted ? any ideas and pictures of what yours looks like would be great (:

Thanks !

That looks great, i have a cat but she's really good with them never bothered them sort of thing, and I'm just not sure to take the risk of an open top cage :/

I think cable ties are very important for stability and protection. The two grids to the far left and far right (at the front) open up and the two doors at the front of the hay loft open.

Hope this helps

I think my cat would definately have a good go if she could. The pigs are never in a room with her unsupervised though.

you could use mesh instead of grids... I used mesh C+C when the babies were small as they could have gotten stuck in the grids. I don't think kitty would be able to get her paws through that, I would say the holes in the mesh I have are about 5mm apart.

I think they came with a set I bought on eBay called "Seville Storage System" or something similar.

Rasher, Caramel and Jellybean's cage is now completely made of mesh grids... Just because they seem more sturdy to me and those are big pigs (I found its also easier to secure a water bottle with mesh but that might just be me).

I've seen someone had fixed a lid of some kind to the top of a C+C but I don't remember where as it was ages ago now. As I recall, it was like they had cut the end bar off a C+C grid and bent the ends around like hinges ... I don't think you could do that with mesh but there may be some other way of making a door-like lid.

Good luck :)
