Hi
I'm using a layer of wood-based cat litter between my pro fleece and newspaper in my indoor cage. I was putting the used litter, plus all the guinea pig droppings, left over hay etc on my compost heap. Is this Ok does anyone know?
I've tried searching for an answer on the web but everyone thinks that you use cat litter only for cats and you can't compost it due to nasties in cats' poos! :(
Any thoughts welcome

I agree with it being wood based it should not be a problem going in the composter.
Guinea Pig poop is only mushed up veggies and wood should not make a difference.

The wood based cat litter does compost down

Thanks :)
I've checked the ingredients, and have asked others and the general consensus is 'yes, why not'. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of rubbish that just goes straight in the bin, so every little helps!
