Hi everyone- our two pigs were in their outside run yesterday- which we thought was totally secure- when I heard them doing a distress call. I ran outside and there was a huge ginger cat in there which I shoed out. I brought them to their inside run and will keep them here ( if they ever go out again, the outdoor run we have is getting chucked!). In the outside run, Chocs was hiding in their tunnel, and Sparkles was under a low wooden shelter we have in there. There are no marks on them I can see- but Sparks ( who the cat would've been trying to claw at under her shelter I imagine) is clearly not okay. She ate a few spinach leaves out of my hand this morning- but a couple of hours after, she's started making a rhythmic low toned squeaking sound I've never heard before- isn't eating anything I offer ( she usually has a huge appetite)- and is not moving. I'm just trying to give them space to cuddle each other but not sure what else to do?

Are you 100% positive the cat didn’t do anything?

Do you have a vet you can see to rule out anything unseen issues?

To me it seems like a traumatic experience but I’m not the expert so I can only give you an educated guess. Sorry.

Good luck and I hope for the best!

She's taken a turn for the worst since I posted so I strongly suspect it did do something. We are in a rural area here- the vet is a very very long way and not open on weekends. I can feel her slipping away- am so so sad and feel so guilty. Am keeping her snuggled with her piggie companion as advice seems to say to do this for both their sakes, and offering her food and water, but she's not taking it. My daughter is away but back tomorrow- she will be utterly devastated. Thanks for replying.

Thinking of you both, how awful 😞 Hope little piggie pulls through x
