I cannot find where i read about this...

How long after a boar has had the snip can he go in with the girls?

Ive got a few boys booked in to be done on the 11th... They've got a good wait for their new wifeys... :))

He had his 10 day check yesterday for his stitches out so he has just under 5 weeks till he can go in with his girlfriend.

My mum took him to the vets as I am away back tonight but missed the critical info.


Aww bless it's just seems an age to be lonesome lol

Ps. Yes unfortunatly 6 weeks is a must, there is a member on here who had a surprise after adding a boar in with sows at 5 weeks - just not worth the risk.

My surprise baby Tegan was the result of a presumably safe over 5 weeks post op boar joining the rescue's sows for a couple of days on the lawn before going to his new home - rare, but as you can see, it CAN happen!

While you are about as safe as any human prevention after 4 weeks, you are unfortunately 100% safe only after a full 6 weeks' wait.
 
my 2 boars have another 2 weeks left of waiting
