CareFresh vs MegaZorb ?

Currently I am using CareFresh Naturals and they seem pretty absorbent and keep odours away but it is very expensive and I end up using the whole 14 ltr bag when I clean them out and provide them with fresh bedding. Now I'm hearing about MegaZorb which is a lot cheaper, (£7 for 85 ltr!). But is it as good as CareFresh? Now it's got me thinking that maybe MegaZorb is cheap for a reason?

I'm using Carefresh at the moment (I find it's cheaper from online retailers) only because my OH has asthma and Megazorb seems to make the air a little more dusty and he gets more frequent attacks.

Other users on the forum have recommended Back2Nature, which is cheaper than Carefresh (I've just bought a bag and it's pretty good, but we shall see once I finish the old litter and move onto this new one).

Ive tried megazorb and carefresh with my hamsters , they last 3-4 weeks without a full clean out using megazorb and carefresh ... even after that time they didnt smell at all. So I think they are quite equal !

Try that with shavings or finacard and they would stink!

I have used megazorb with pigs and can go 10 days without a full clean out!

To me they're both the same apart from carefresh is a heck of a lot more expensive so it's a megazorb vote here.
Oh to be fair, megazorb can be a little dusty but i sprinkle it to get the dust out and wait until it settles for piggies to go back and they're fine.

I hated Megazorb...bag I got stank like stale cheese.

Carefresh is my fav - but is way too expensive.

I mostly use Aubiose - v.absorbant all mosture is pulled down so to the pigs always feels dry and it also massively helps with smell. Much cheaper than Carefresh and the pigs seem ti like it

I read before that some people have had stinky bags!

Ive never found stinky ones though, it must absorb the smells from wherever it is kept or something

I bought an 85 ltr bag today and it smelled fine, abit musty but nothing horrible. How long does a bag last you, I cleaned out my guinea pigs today and used megazorb but it seems I had to put down a lot to fully cover the floor of the hutch.
