Anybody on here used this bedding? Just wondering What people thought of it, as I'm looking for different bedding solutions :help:

I used it for my rats. It was kind to their feet but I found it did not reduce odour or absorb very well and it was very expensive for what you get.

Some people use puppy pads, towels over the top then hay or @madguinealady has a shower curtain, I think puppy pads etc..all personal opinion. I use fleece because you can spot clean and then wash it twice a week as it stays dry when it wicks away moisture. Kind to feet too. Custom made fleece can be initially expensive but once you have a few saves alot overall! I have 4 fleeces and I also have fleece throws from B&M as a back up which I use with towels and puppy pads as long as they are anti pil and 100% polyester they are safe to use:)

I would use fleece, but the problem would be whether or not my mum would be too happy with it going in her washing machine. This is why I was looking for disposable stuff hehe

Have a look at fitch or finacard (also ecopetbed, green mile etc.). I'd agree that carefresh is very expensive and not very good, some people think it's dusty/irritating.

Ah okay :) thanks for saving me from wasting money I'll give those a go

Some people are not keen at their stuff going in with ours..but to be honest if your washing at a 60c and using a wash bag which saves the hay washing machine from bits of hay or using a antibacterial pet bed wash like me and my OH then it kills all germs anyway but it is personal opinion :)

I used eco pet bed for the rats after binning carefresh and it worked well. good value for money too and lasted at least 6 months with a 20kg sack :) the bits were quite big though and I personally wouldnt use it for my piggies as it can be rough but i think it depends where you but it from. Smaller finer bits would be fine.

i use carefresh for tmy hamster and found it works well he loves to bury in it and build mountains keeps him busy i didn't find it to be dusty i use aubiose for my piggies no dust, no smell and very absorbent £10.00 for a sack nearly as tall as me i'm 5ft 2, i put a thin layer of hay over it and its working well.
