is it possible to use the double layered cardboard as a structure for a larger guinea pig cage? it seems time to upgrade how they are always happy to scamper about the large area of my sofa, and then have to retreat to the significantly smaller cage the petstore here provided claiming "its the largest there is" anyways, could i put them in a properly bedded cardboard box or would that not work at all...

i dont exactly know what you mean, but I'm thinking pigs would chew right through it.

How is your piggy?

Chewie is very well thanks, hes acting much better now, grooming himself, bending under himself to eat his "vitamin pills" or stools rather, and just being more active. i think partial of his change in activity is due to his smaller cage, its acceptable for small very young piggies but chewie is growing very fast and i need to find a way to build him a easy place, youd be surprised how difficult it is to come across grid fencing or even plywood in China...especially when your not fluent :P

so i was hoping maybe i could set up a nice place for them inside of a modified cardboard box home, but if they will chew thru the walls maybe i will revisit the thinking of that idea...

i got my grid type things from Amazon, do you have access to that maybe? or ebay?

So glad to hear hes better, love the vitamin pills thing lol.

one of my pigs was only a few weeks old when i got him and i had to go all round my cage with chicken wire as he could get through the holed in the grids easily!!

Could you maybe make something out of wood, or even get a hutch or two and put them together somehow?
