Cardboard Tubes

I use a lot of kitchen towels and wonder if it's safe to use the cardboard inner tubes for the G.Ps for stuffing with hay, etc. I'm a bit worried about the glue the manufacturers might use. Does anyone use them in this way ?

If there is no glue on the roll, then it will be fine. But a full grown pig won't fit through it unlike these tunnels:

I've stuffed cardboard tubes with hay and sometimes fresh food so they have to hunt about a bit to find it. Thet gnaw on them too and like to headbutt them about.

Thanks. I have purpose-made cardboard tubes - big ones - already but I like to recycle whenever possible and wondered if I could use the kitchen towel tubes as well.

They will love the kitchen roll tubes stuffed with hay...hehe

Yes the cardboard tube in the middle, and I've used the ones from toilet rolls too.

Asda do big chew tubes for £1! total bargain - but yes, I do like to recycle too.

i use them for hay. make sure you cut them down the middle though so they don't get stuck.

You cpuld cut holes in them and hang them to make it more of a challenge

Be careful with those paper towel/toilet paper tubes please! I gave one to my two girls once and they ate the tubing rather than just chewing it which caused swelled bellies and a very worried me. If you're going to use them, be sure to cut a slit along the whole tube so no one gets their head stuck.
