I put this cardboard drink carrier in my piggies cage and they LOVE it. I got it from the convenience store for free and they use it more than their actual houses that I got from the pet store haha image.webp
 
I have started collecting random boxes from shops for them to play in... Cute pic x
 
I think they like boxes because they can chew the cardboard. Having said that though I have 2 boys who don't seem to know what to do with cardboard while my other 2 love the stuff. It could be because my chewers were babies when I got them, whereas the other 2 were already 2.5 years old and perhaps never got any cardboard.
 
I made this from a cake box, joined with some toilet rolls and a kitchen roll to form the inserted tube:

The great thing is they feel they are under cover and secure under the clear insert, but we can see what they are up to! They have 't nibbled at any of it and they love to run through the main box, down the sides, back through the stick bridge and into the box again and then finally down the cardboard tube. It's like piggie Olympics !

Some cool designers there.... I wonder how long they will last.... Our first piggies used to destroy cardboard....
 
My piggies love boxes but they never last longer than a day, if they don't tear them apart they wee in them. The one they had last night had two big wet patches in it this morning.
