I’ve nearly ran out of the Remend corneal repair gel that the vet gave me for Ella. I have a fresh tube of carbomer lubricating eye gel that I bought to use in an emergency but I’ve just noticed it went out of date in February this year. Ella’s eye is much better but is still slightly red. Will the carbomer gel be ok to use for a couple of days? I’ve only just opened it

I think it will be fine Claire since it is newly opened.
Most things have a much longer date if they are unopened - it's only once they are open that they deteriorate quickly.
You could always call the vet nurse if you need more of the original medication.

Thank you. I’ll use it as she only needs it for another few days
