Aww looks nice, hope your piggys have fun! I agree its very good vaule for money. I paid £90 for my nero 4 with the stand. But as you know our piggys are worth it. :-)

I got my cages from the woman who gave me my girls but that cage looks cool :) enjoy!

I have that cage and it is great, no mess jumps out and the top opens easy upwards for you to get them in and out. I ended up taking out the little house bit but only because revel refused to come out and was getting all wet etc.
xx

oh good :) how come she was revel was getting wet in the house ? I'm hoping to put two guinea pigs in here , is it a good size for your two ? x

Hiya yes it seems fine for two, he kept fighting with his friend rolo and so would hide in there and sort of get covered in wee, but he would hide in any house so he doesnt have a hidey hole at the moment and he has relaxed on his own and is friendly and happy to sleep without the house. Not sure it that makes sense xx

Hiya - I'm sorry to say that your cage is a bit on the small side for two fully grown guinea pigs.

The recommendations on here are for 2x4 ft (60x120 cm) MINIMUM for two guinea pigs; when you have both cages next to each other, you can see what a difference it makes!

When I rehomed Nerys and Nia from the RPSCA, I bought this cage from zooplus, which passed their home check: http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/guinea_pig_cages/83034

It is also quite a bit cheaper.

Here are both cages next to each other:

The one on the left is the zooplus 60x120cm cage and on the right is my old 50x100cm cage.

I use fleece with and underlay of newspaper and cheap towels and a toilet corner from p@h, so there is less mess flying from the cage.

Aye I thought it was a bit small, I have what you linked Vickyt, but mines from this local pet wearhouse, more expencive then that site unfortually. I also have a smaller one which I had when I first got them which is fine for 'babies' only. I need to buy a fold away run, because it's getting more difficult to leave them out in my flat as I have wires and such. Also I'd enjoy taking them in their carry cage up to the castle and a fold away run would come perfect in that. (Nearest grassy area to me.)

This cage is nice http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/guinea_pig_cages/137393
but I'm thinking Leo wouldn't have the balance to be able to walk up the ramp.

The other way to go is a C&C cage.

My hubby has finally given in and we are going to have one soon (probably triple storey).

i do like c&c but i would just prefer a cage as i would find it easier to clean ( all my stuff for them is down stairs , have not got room upstairs :( ) and also the room i have for the cage is on top of two chest of draws , and have no fllor room for c&c but I'm definatley going with the big cage :D cant wait to get it now !

Ferplast 140 Pets at home 48 x 140 x 71cm

If anyone is looking for a very large cage, I have just bought the new style Ferplast 140 from Pets at Home and it is brilliant. Dimensions are 48 x 140 x 71 and there is a stand available as well. I paid total £113.36 for the cage and stand (there is a 10% discount on large orders at the moment). This is a lot cheaper than anywhere else I could find. It is really good quality and you get 2 houses, 2 bottles, 2 hayracks, ladder, and 2 bowls. The one pictured on the Pets at Home website is the old design. The new one has a decent sized door at the front, and one in the side. It is grey - have tried to attach photo. My three ladies love it and keep having mad moments......

just looked at this cage , and true is is a bit cheaper :) probally go for this cage then as bigger size and better value . only question is ....does it open at the front/side or does it only open at the top ? xx

It opens from the side and the top. I have this cage too based on Weibkes recommendation.

It's great and tall enough that you can add an upstairs if you want to.

thanks everyone :D would i add a upstairs with c&c ? not really good with things like this haha .

We used 2 c&c grids to add an upstairs and correx to line it. But I am sure if you got creative then you could use whatever to make the upstairs. We used cable ties to attach it to the bars of the cage and make it a secure floor.

sounds good to me , i know where i could get the correx from , is that the stuff * get from sign places yeah ? but I'm not sure where to get the grids from , i dont want to buy loads of them but i cant find any around where i live :( x

bought this cage and it was delivered 2day , OMG it is soooo big lol i know 2x4 is big but didnt know it was that big haha but my piggy loves it bless her :) well worth buying it and would reccomend it !

C&c cages are easy to clean as they are bigger. You can customise them aswell to suit the space you have. I wouldnt have anything else - they are great! And they have so much room! especially if you have fleece, you just hoover the poops and bung the whole lot of bedding in the wash. you can even build storage under neath them - check out this site

http://www.guineapigcages.com/index.htm

And for the same money your spending on a zoozone you can build a HUGE c&c cage!

I'm totally sold!

the link in your post is the one i ended up getting :) have you got a bigger then one! or you got the same one, got confussed lol

ermm I'm gonna be honest ...yeah its massive! :) well i think its is anyway, some people have bigger ones than this! i got mine within 4 days , so pretty good service aswell, and really good price , I'm happy with it .
