Hi,
I've been trying to make my piggy a new cage for last few months, but it seems impossible. I searched for grid cubes and coroplast (correx) in many many shops and I can't find it, people who work there have no idea what I'm asking about :( I also tried searching for the material on the internet (sites like ebay), but the problem is that I live in Montenegro so many sellers don't ship their products to my country, or when they ship, it costs around 30-40€ (plus the product).
I'd be thankful if anyone could give me any idea how to make a cage out of different materials :) After I make a new, bigger cage I'll get another piggy, but for now my pig has to be alone until I build a bigger cage :(

I understand how frustrating it can be when you can't get items shipped to your country.
It took me ages to find someone who would ship grids to Switzerland, and the most recent quote I had for 2 correx sheets was 189 pounds for postage :yikes:

The best place to stat might be You Tube - just search things like 'home made guinea pig cages' and see what comes up.
I know a few people on here have also made cages themselves with basic supplies like wood and perspex.
Have you had a look at the housing thread here:
Member Gallery: C&C cages/homemade cages

This has lots of C&C cages, but also ideas for home made cages using things like puppy pens and play pen panels.

A lot of people adapt furniture into cages, or you could use a wire run with a plastic table cloth instead of C&C. That worked well for me when I first got mine and is very flexible in shape (pic of the run with the base it came with, but you can get it without the base, and use a plastic table cloth - it can be make into various shapes and folds away flat. The other clever idea I've seen is a children's plastic paddling pool. I've posted some links to some examples

It is not easy when you are in a country that hasn't got a grid supplier.
Have you looked at mesh cube modular storage for grids (you can also look at wipeable opaque plastic grids instead if they are on offer)? Safco or Tespo are trademarks for grid storage.
You could try contacting some local shop sign makers as they might use coroplast/correx for shop signs. That is where I got my first grids and correx from years ago before they became more easily available.
