I went to collect Fluffy and Steve from the piggy hotel, to discover they had to be seperated due to a saturday night fight! Fluffy (the quiet one) had finally snapped and ripped Steve's lip and ear:(

Steve is recovering nicely and they are now happy in their own seperate cages, but if we take one out of the room the other will call out until they return! It seems they still love each other they just don't want to be in the same cage! They will even lay down either side of the fence so they are touching, but if the fence is removed they start fighting again!rolleyes

Luckly we have plenty of room inside and out for neighbouring pigs! Do you think we should wait for awhile and then re-introduce or just let them be neighbours talking through the fence now and again?!:)

I would leave them as neighbours, they can interact with one another if they choose but they can't harm one another.
Of all the boys i've had that've fallen out i've never managed to rebond a pair & have that pair stay together yet all the boys & others who lived alone would all share a 14ft x 11ft run together.

Thanks, I agree, they seem happy with their own space and they are still close enough to have a chat. I tried to put them together outside in the run but Fluffy just chases Steve continuously so I have put the fence back between them for now.

Amanda 1801 :) They could all stand gossiping at the fence!

We have the exact same thing with our boys - Caramel and Biscuit. They can't stand being in the same cage, on the same floor or sofa or anything. They live next to each other and are happy with that. The moment you take one of them away though, the other is immediately concerned. I think they do miss each other but it's also a bit of jealousy - they know the other one is getting attention and they want in on it too :)
