My mum bought me and my sister 2 guinea pigs as a surprise, from pets at home (I know, I know.. mallethead ) And she bought a cage that the woman working there had suggested. it's not too big, but the piggies seem content for now.

I have been trying so hard for a long time now to find the supplies to make C&C cages, The cubes are really hard to find in stores, and online they are really expensive due to heavy shipping costs. And I have tried asking estate agents for some of their correx but they look at you as-if you are crazy.

If any one can help, I live in the north-east of england (near newcastle/south-sheilds)

Please help, my 2 beautiful guinea pigs will be very grateful :))

wayfair.co.uk sell 20 grids for 30 pound
then all you need is correx or some lino or even a shower curtain.

JTF are near you and they sell grids too - phone them up and ask if they have any in stock before going though.

or you could buy a skyline maxi xxl cage for 40 from zooplus that is the right size for two

I'm also in the ** of england :-)

If you don't want to spend the money on the cubes, you can just use the thicker corrugated plastic - you can get this in B&Q or online - if you get a minimum 6mm thickness then you don't necessarily need the cubes. Ours is 5 foot by 3 foot - we got the plastic from Protec - they delivered the sheet for £26 - we bought some duck tape in black from B&Q and then scored it, bent it and done! Much cheaper.
Look at the piggiepigpigs videos on YouTube where Laura shows you how to do it without cubes. Our piggies seem very happy and it's very sturdy.

It's a shame you are so far. I have spare correx I really need to get rid of but its so large I don't think I could send it by post.

Sorry the place we got the 'correx' from was http://www.protection.co.uk/products/proplex-5mm-recycled-plastic-sheeting/

They were brilliant - delivered next day and it's huge! Their customer service is great too. Not that expensive when you don't have to get cubes too. I can't work out how to post pictures on here to show you, but ours is great and it's very easy.:)

I will order from them, but £30 for saturday delivery is steep! I cant do 2 day delivery as I dont know when it will come and I work mon-fri. So I'm waiting until I have to take a day off (car MOT for example) before ordering so I can use the one day delivery!

Ooh lets see the C+C creation! drool To post a pic you need to upload it to another site like photobucket (or facebook i think you can use) and then copy the link into your message using the little picture icon above (looks like a square with a mountain in). There is a thread about it under "Technical help with using the Forum".
