I'm getting my first pair of guinea pigs soon, well I had some when I was about 5 so that's about 15 yrs ago now! Anyway they will be living outside (can go into the garage when it's really cold), and I am trying to decide what bedding to use.
When I was younger we just used shavings, but I know that's not really recommended now. At college we used cardboard squares but I haven't seen anything about this on here, and I don't really want to use fleece as I don't think it will suit me.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks :)

i use finacard in my litter trays and my rat cage. You can order it on line. It is strips of cardboard and really soft and absorbant. The bigg squares of cardboard is ecobale also on line. Cheaper than finacard but i think finacard is softer and more absorbent. There is also auboise and snowflake. There is a thread on bedding on line

My piggies are outside and I use 4 layers of newspaper, Huggies bed mats, Tumblefresh and a layer of pets@home straw (because it is soft) and finally a clump of Nature's best Devonshire meadow hay.
