those piggies are fabulous

ours can be tempted to jump up the stairs but it can take them a while to decide if it is gan to be worth theire while lol :)
 
I had a guinea pig called Minx once who for a time liked nothing better than to sneak upstairs in thirteen quick jumps! Talk about telling the gas man that you were piggy proofing your stairs! malletheadmalletheadmallethead


She also jumped into anything she could put her front paws on, from vegetable racks to flower pots.
 
When Pip was a baby and we put a seagrass pigloo in there, she jumped on top of it and then all the others learned from her. There hutch is now in a shed and they have 24/7 access to the shed floor, they access it via a wooden box which is several inches lower than the hutch, and then jump on and off from there (the box is about 8" high). We have recently taken in four more piggies and once isolation is up, I'm curious to see if they are able to do the same.
 
Those video's are amazing! Especially the 1st one! That piggie really seems to love jumping...probably thinks its a horse!
 
I think my piggies are a bit 'curvy' to manage that kind of jumping. They do well with jumping in and out of their cage though!
 
Great vids and lovely to see Fred poppin up onto his bridge like that.

I think Roger could probably do a bit of jumping he's certainly got the long jump down pat rolleyes
 
That first vid was brilliant! How did they tempt the piggy to do that?/?/
My piggies would just run into the hurdles!
 
those are fab. George is a good jumper from a baby he jumped onto his nero house as never managed to work out how to do the stairs :)) the other day I saw him jump his food bowl and a toy that was next to it so that was a good jump. He only seems to do that now though when he is on a mad dash!
 
Alot of piggies can jump,although some further or higher than others,
I wouldnt purposly set up jumps for mine as most of mine are to fat to jump comfortablyrolleyes

Blade on the otherhand is labelled "the daredevil",i have seen him climb out of his C&C cage, he also jumps on top of his pigloo and then manages to jump over the grids around the edges,he now has a closed to cage for this reason lol
