Ive got my two piggies in a ferplast type indoor cage (from The Range).

Whilst its a good size and although I let them have a mooch around the conservatory every day, I would like to see if I can extend it to give them even more room.

Has anyone done this and if you have how do you do it?

I had 4 Ferplasts connected. I had the Olimpia as the main cage, then an extension of Laura, Circus and Combi 1. What cage do you have? Does it have the round holes for connecting tubes?

i used to have 2 x ferplast 140 cages joined together (280cm x 60cm), was dead simple to do. I removed the two side panels and attached two ramps in the middle of both cages. when i wanted to change cages i just re-attached the cage sides - my modification didn't ruin any cages and they were still as good as new.

I did the same thing with my two 150 cages - removed the side panels and used the mezzanine floors to connect the two cages.

I have attached grids to the front of mine to make a run

I have now put a correx floor down, but if needed (visitors !) I could remove it all in a couple of minutes - I just leave the cage open all day and they jump in and out as they want

Oops, read that as extension for hamster cages for some reason. Lol, ignore my post.

I have my 2 boys in my conservatory in a 120 ferplast, they also come out everyday for some floor play time but I have created an extra 1/2 floor above the base of the cage with a deep potting up tray which I fill with hay and have their food and water up there too.
