To work out whether something is safe or not it needs to be accurately identified, a location is required for this. Where about in the world are you?

The general rule with all forage (including foraging for people to eat) is; if in doubt, don’t risk it.
It only takes one mistake for things to go horrible wrong.

I agree. I went on a mushroom foraging course last year and basically scared myself into never foraging again. It really is risky business.
