As the title says. Can piggies get cradle cap? Pepper has always been really greasy. Not just his grease gland but further up his back too. It mats his hair together and sticks it to his back. So today I thought I would give him a brush and this came out.

You can see the grease on the ends.

It didn’t seem to bother him. He’s not been brushed before as he’s a smooth, short haired boy.

He’s not itching at all and like I say he’s always been greasy.

I’m wondering if it’s just hair that fell out normally but got stuck there. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thoughts please.

It looks like a really overactive grease gland to me?

Thanks @Wiebke. I think I’ll keep a closer eye on it and give it a really good clean with lots of coconut oil and gorgeous guineas boar shampoo.
