I have seen few pics where i see piggies eating cherry tomatoes are they safe for them or not...i have not seen them on the good or bed to eat list...
how about grapes??/
thanks!:))

They can eat tomato & grapes, however are not to all guinea pigs tastes!

When feeding tomato especially keep it as a treat as it is very acidic and getting to much about their chops could lead to sores. Grapes if given too much can give a bit of a runny bum.

I had a piggy who looooved tomato and used to get it every where!

Tomato plant is however poisonous!

Both are fine as long as the grapes are seedless. All of my piggies love cherry tomatoes (I remove the seeds with a teaspoon first, but I think that it is safe for them to be eaten). Grapes should be given infrequently as they are high in sugar. Mine get a single grape each every now and again as a special treat :)

Mine gets half a cherry tomato a couple times a week. I love them too, so they're always in the house if they're in season! I don't bother taking the seeds out.

Oddly though, he will enthusiastically take tomato if I HAND it to him... If I just leave it in his veggie bowl with his other salad he usually ignores it, like he doesn't realise it's food. Weirdo.

I gave our piggies half a tomato each the other day and they loved it! Marble and Hartley got it all down their chins! xoxo :))

My piggies adore cherry tomatoes, they eat the lot seeds an all. I give them whole and watch them disappear in seconds:))

I feed normal tomatoes cut into chunks. Most of mine love them.

Please never feed tomatoes more than twice weekly. Too much can cause sores to mouth and lips (the same goes for any fruit).

:)) hi yes piggies can eat cherryy/baby toms and grapes, but dont give to much as it will give them a sore mouth/lips,** soon know as it will look like ** piggies has cold sores! I would say 1 or 2 baby toms per week! Also take away the pips,
I myself learnt the hard way and over fed my baby piggy (mr piggles)to much baby toms and he got sore corners of his lil mouth and under his nose abit,And i felt terrible that i made that mistake! I will say tho tepid (warm) salty water bathed on the sores 2/3 times a day has done wonders for his sore mouth its almost healed! , tho be careful ** piggy dosnt lick to much of the salt water, tho abit is ok as will help inside the mouth........
My baby piggy luvs baby toms but ive got to be strict as to much of them really does give them mouth sores!

thank you all! i got some fresh cherry tomatoes..when i take my boys for play time ill give them half each...ill update if they like it ..so far these 2 little boys love everything you give them...:)) they are def gonna grow in to big piggies i can see it all ready!xx>>>
