this is quite a silly question. Yesterday my dog got downstairs (he usually does, he doesn't bother Cocoa) but this time he made a big mess, hay everywhere. The dog eats everything, I guess he thought the hay was food. Anyway, we had to vacuum and sweep etc etc. Cocoa doesn't like the noises, will he get sick from stress?! It was only a bit but he got pretty scared. Btw, the dog has never bothered Cocoa. Cocoa does not mind the dog, and Trigger (dog) goes down by cocoas cage a lot and never does anything. What I'm saying is, trigger did not stress cocoa out. I want to know if the noises of sweeping and vacuuming hay out of carpet for an hour (ughhh) stressed him out.

Yes, they can die of stress, but I would imagine it would take more than the hoover to do it.

Mine tend to hide when I'm hoovering and then come out again.

Just keep an eye on him today to see how he's doing.

I agree with Jaycey , just keep an eye to her

No piggy likes hoovering noises (neither do I) but it takes serious stress to have a big impact on health- for example, seeing a predator such as a fox or cat. I'm sure he's fine, cuddles and treats and he'll have forgotten all about it!

No piggy likes hoovering noises!

... you say this; the Kattegat girls have figured out that 'hoover' means 'they're making the space outside our enclosure clean, this must mean we're going to be allowed to run around and make more mess' and get excited instead. But yeah, initially it was lots of huddling together and squeaking indignantly.

Keep an eye on him, but as long as he's eating, drinking and pooping I'm sure he'll be fine :)

Hmm, cats? Cocoa loves my kitty-kins haha! I don't let him and them interact face to face, but they chat through the bars. Cocoa snufffles at them and sometimes WhiteWings licks him lol. He's never been bothered by other animals. Dogs, even! Kinda worrying, actually. I mean, I could probs set a Doberman on him. He'd just be chill and not even hide.

Hah, piggies really know their owners. Cocoa knows that if someone calls down the stairs, it's food time. I always call down "Dinner time!" Or breakfast etc. He goes haywire, all excited! Then if anyone yells down the stairs, or while in the basement, he gets all excited. My dad yells as he watches sports, so it kinda sounds like him and Cocoa are cheering on the same teams haha! :)

My piggies are in my living room so obv I hoover ALOT around them, they used to run and hide but now they popcorn all over when I hoover, also they love the sound of me sweeping o sweep their cage daily

Aww! I imagine a neighbour's cat getting way too curious, but Cocoa would probably be too relaxed to mind. It's so, so cute that your cat and piggy get on. Cuteness overload:love:
