Hello everybody
I posted yesterday about jack having lice. Well I just wondered if they can make him act differently to what he normally would? I think he may have had them when we got him so I don't know if the jack we have now is always going to be like this. The reason I am asking is because Marley is really laid back and loves being cuddled n massaged lol but jack grunts n goes stiff n really does not enjoy being cuddled at all.
So I was wondering if it's the lice making him this way and he will change once they are gone or if that is just his personality. Has anybody had any experience of this? Sorry for all the questions and thanks :)

some (most, actually) guinea pigs just don't enjoy being picked up and cuddled. i think because they're prey animals, they don't feel safe in the hands of something as big and ugly and scary as a human :p

Jack has now reached the stage where he obviously trusts you enough to tell you his true feelings. Many piggies do not particulary enjoy being picked up and cuddled.

Make sure that you treat both boys for lice.

Thank you and yes I am going to do them both as soon as the lice n easy comes. As well as wash their teddy n clean out their hutch thoroughly :)
