Recently my guinea pigs fought, drew a bit of blood. I have to seprate them. My plan is when I get my 4x2 Cage, I want to put two panels in the middle. But I'm worried they will not have enough space. Many of you said try building a loft. And my sis and I want to. Even my daddy agreed to it! So Yayy i'm going to add a loft additional to building a 4x2. Two Lofts. Actually. But

Will they have enough space. Suggestions. Ideas. Show your cage even. I would love to see your cage. Ever since I saw them I have been in love with CC Cages and knew if I ever going to get a Piggy that is the cage they will end up in. =)

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, do you mean your going to make one 4x2 cage but split is so each pig gets a 2x1 cage? If that's the case then I'm afraid thats not enough space

The link above tells you the minimum and preferred cage sizes so thats a good way to work out what size cage you'll need to build

Yeah I know but some one gave me the iDea of adding a loft. but do you think there is any possibility of them being together anymore.

It's difficult as generally if blood is drawn then the chance of them going back in together is very slim. If you were to try to re-introduce them then it would have to be on neutral ground, maybe bath them both seperately beforehand so they have a neutral smell, provide plenty of space and fresh food and be on hand with a towel to throw over them to separate them if they fight.

Even with a hay loft I personally don't think thats enough space to be honest as a grid is only 12" wide which barely gives them enough room to turn around. What you could do though is build a 4x2 cage with another 4x2 cage on top so they are seperate but each have a good amount of space?

K Thank You. I will have to further discuss with my daddy. It would be hard to discuss with my mom. But my dad and I are probably going to be the one making it. So yea. But then at the same time I could put a CC Cage for my sisters Guinea Pig the one hurt, in her room. But I am the main Care Taker. Thanks I will further discuss with my Father.

How big was the cage they were in when they were fighting? When you put them in the C&C which has larger space, they may stop fighting. If you plan to separate the 2x4 cage, it will only give tem 2x2 for each pig. That is not enough space for them. For a single pig, the cage should be 2x3.

If you plan to split the cage, can you make 3x4 or 2x6 and spilt in the middle? If you have enough space for that, you might not need to split the cage at all.

* A grid is 14 inches.

Thanks. They still had their ugly petstore cage. =( Thats a good idea. Though. Ill discuss with my Father

:)you can have two storeys each storey 4x2 and each piggie has there own floor. Or if your sister might have one in her room you could have two cages
