I have been planning ever since I got my pigs for a c and c cage . Even before I knew I was going to get one. I told my self: If I ever get piggies, I will get a CC Cage

And here I am with my Piggies who turned five months old on the 24th.

I want to get a 5x2 which I heard some places is minimum for boars( of Which I do have males).

But my parents are not exactly sold on a 6 foot cage. So after much debating. I thought about it...

Would getting a 4x2 hurt them? Would 14 in. Less hurt them. I already give at least two or three hours at least of Floor time and I'm going to give the same amount when I throw out the ugly Pet Store Cage.

I havee the fleece. A litter pan. I'm going to get a new one. Another food bowl. And water bottles.

Bottom Line. Can I get a 4x2 C+C Cage for Two Young Male Guinea Pig?

You can get a 2x4 grid C&C cage, but perhaps you can talk about adding a hayloft instead for your boys? If you can;t go sideways, you can always go up! ;)

You would only be losing 12in :) 12in in a ft. I don't think it would hurt them to have them in a 2 x 4 cage.

My boys live in a 4 ft by 2 ft house and they have plenty of room.but as Weibke said if you can't go side ways try to go up :)

I have my girl's in this 2x4,2x4,2x4 C&Ci also added a 2x1 hay loft but now they have a 2x2 hayloft

2 by 4 is the recommended minimum cage size by the RSPCA so don't worry it is fine. Ours are in 2 by 4 ft cages, just make sure they get run time.

4x2 C&C is fine for my two boars, which gives enough space for two hidey holes. But they do get run time. Slightly depends on age of boars, and how energetic they are. Mine are frankly lazy and even when provided with run space outside or in, tend not to run about very much. Yes you can go upwards, and I'm planning that for my three some when I get the two new ones, as I haven't got space for 6x2 which is what I'd like.

I currently have my two girls in a 2x4 with hayloft which they seem to be enjoying. I would also love to go bigger (even have spare panels!) but i really don't have the room, humph...

Thanks, my sister who also own one of the pair we have wishes for one. So I might as well. That is a very good Idea. Some People Put bedding, as a plus for a Litter Box. Should I really. I'd rather just leave some comfy fleece.

Thanks Soo Much. OO And they PLENTY of floortime, LOL at least two hours. I'm gonna give the same amount when I get the New Cage though. But I'm gona wait a few days or about two weeks before getting a loft. They are two 5 month old VERY energetic Piggie Brothers.
