Hello!
Sorry new to this, but wanted advice!
I have 4 baby boys, 1 in quarantine for a URI and 3 together.
The 3 have been find until recently, the newest addition to the trio keeps picking fights with the older male. He has scratches and bites on his rump and one on his lip.
Would separating for a time work or do I have to permanently separate?
The newest one is always hyper and energetic, but always wants to be with the other two even though they fight.
Any ideas? Is this just adolescences? I don't want my baby boys to be scared up or change to be sad piggies :<

I’m sorry this isn’t going to be the news you want, but trying to keep more than two boars together hardly ever works. They don’t function well in trios and definitely not in quartets.
They really need to be separated into, Ideally, two pairs as even as a trio their chances of making it to adulthood together are incredibly low. Sadly with the case of a quartet what usually happens is you end up separating into a pair and then two single piggies. You are likely to need three cages side by side cages to make this situation work going forward so they can interact through the bars

I’m sorry if you were misinformed. You’ve got great info in the guides linked above.

I wanted to ask about the quarantined boar. How old is he and was he living with the other three before you quarantined him?

If he’s under four months then social interaction comes before preventing your other piggies from getting whatever it is. So he needs to be bonded - perhaps with the one you separate. If he was living with them before separation then they would have been exposed already. We don’t tend to recommend medical separation as that can cause a rift in bonds.

But seeing as they may have been living together previously, it won’t work long term. So perhaps see if you can bond him with the lone boar.
