Sorry if "unstuck" isn't the right word, English isn't my first language; this morning when i woke up i realized one of my boys had something stuck to the side of his face, it's gluey (rest assured, it wasn't consumed and he's eating and acting as always, just looking a bit messy) and it's really in his hair and we can't get rid of it with water only and the hair's too short (and close to the whiskers) to cut it; my idea is to put canola oil or olive oil to soften it and be able to pull it out but I'm sure if it could harm his skin or something worse.

Have a nice day and thanks in advance! <3

As you have boys, the substance is most likely boar glue - dried semen.
It is literally glue like, you won’t be able to wash it out. If it is boar glue, then the options are to carefully cut it out or to leave it and wait for it to drop out on its own. Given the location, I would opt for leaving it alone.

Hi

It sounds like dried white semen fluid, which boars not rarely get on their face when they rummage around the genitalia. Its descriptive nickname is 'boar glue' - because it tends to firmly stick. If it is only loosely in the coat, then carefully cut it out. Otherwise you have to wait a few days for it to come off on its own. Especially on short hair or where directly attached to skin, like the lips or nose.
