I want to extend their run on to a large area that is covered with bark I have seen pictures of pigs on bark but I thought it was toxic ?

I've no experience of putting guinea pigs on bark but I know when I used it for a play area for my oldest son I ended up removing it because of the amount of funky looking mushrooms that grew out of it (was only down for a few weeks and found 5 different types of mushrooms in it)
