I have one piggy who exclusively poos and wees in one corner, the other one however literally goes all over the place. Is there any way I can encourage him to use the poo corner?

Nope... :)
Guinea pigs can't be litter trained... But they do like to poo and pee where there food is..:)>>> Particually on their hay.... Some are neater than others but I have yet to meet a litter trained piggie and I've got over 50 at the moment... :))
x

Mine have taught themselves to go back into the cage to pee/poo (they can get back in during floor time and come back out when they're done.) However, once in the cage it's a free-for-all as far as pooping goes. They do tend to pee in the corners, but that's their preference, not anything I've taught them!

Mine does most of her pees and poos in the corners of her cage, but sometimes she does it near her water bottle. I think most of them choose their own particular spot.x

Generally you can't litter train piggies, however, Daisy (my pic) only pees in her corner litter tray, where the hay is hanging up. She also rarely poos any else either so as far as litter training goes, she has done it herself, but she is the first piggy I've ever had to do so rolleyes

At the vets last week she didn't pee or poo once in her travel cage going or coming home, until she weed in the last 5 minutes before we reached the door! Whilst confined after her op I put a litter tray in with her & she literally dragged herself into it, peed & pooped a huge pile then got herself out again! It was fascinating to watch lol rolleyes

I have two "almost" perfectly litter trained pigs. They both will use a litter box to go pee in. Pooping is not always in the litter box tho. All I did was put a litter box with litter in and they jumped in and used in. (I use Eco-Bedding Kinda looks like this, made of paper. v^v^v^v^v^v^v)

It looks to me like it's down to the individuals then, they never poo in their hidey though! i just thought that spot cleaning would be easier if they would use a litter tray thingy that I've seen! Oh well.

In a similar vein, is there anything that makes spot cleaning easier than just picking out poos one at a time or trying to grab a handful!

Some people use a brush, but personally my fleece just got all rucked up. I sorta swoosh my into a pile with my hand...

All my pigs are bedded on fleece/vetbed - so spot cleaning consists of me getting out my little cylinder hoover :) Takes me around 15mins to completely hoover four 5ft cages ;)

I have a 28"x42" dog kennel/crate with fleece. (and a litter box)
Because I end piles of poop under the igloos (sleeping time, just poop right there) I use a vacuum (more of the dirt devil hand vac thingy) to clean to the poop. It works, but needs to be hosed out to keep it from smelling bad...
