Can Guinea Pigs Have Straw?

I was wondering if piggies can have straw, I heard it is a good insulator for outdoor hutches. The pets@home straw I use is more like hay or shredded paper and I woudn't dream of giving my piggies hard, pointy straw like horses use otherwise they would get pokes in their eyes.

Straw is a no no for piggies, it's sharp and can damage their eyes. Hay is a much nicer, softer and warmer bedding.
