Weird question, I know, but it suddenly came to my mind. Are there any types of foods (except for fruits and veggies) that are safe for guinea pigs to eat?
For example, people often feed their dogs biscuits that they eat too.

Guinea pigs need to eat all the hay and fresh grass (carefully introduced to avoid bad tummy upsets) they can eat; that is the mainstay of their diet and should make at least three quarters of their daily food intake for long term health and a longer life.
Outside fresh veg and herbs, and the very occasional small piece of fresh food, carrot or sweetcorn, there is nothing that humans and guinea pigs should share since our digestive systems and dietary needs are very different.

Any processed, tinned or frozen food is a big no no. Nuts and grain or dried fruit should not be a regular part of a diet, either. Chocolate and dairy is a big no no. Also stay off highly processed and especially any sweetened pet shop treats.

Please rather concentrate on species appropriate enrichment and making their normal feeding time fun - but with food that is appropriate. You do not need to feed lots of life-shortening, unhealthy food treats to make your piggies' life interesting.
