I was looking at vendors of guinea pig cozies and whatnot, and saw one who had made some pillows. They are meant as lap pillows for the piggy to sit on while on your lap, but could also be used, it said, in the cage for a comfy rest. It is three inches tall. Do you think a piggy could climb up there?

Hi, some guinea pigs can and do climb. I've seen some climbing stairs on a video, and I've seen some standing on top of their tunnels. Mine don't like to climb, but they have hammocks in their cages, Burt will leap onto it if he thinks it will get him closer to the food! It's about 3 inches off the cage floor. Even if they didn't want to climb on it, it might be nice to snuggle up against :)

Oh god yes they climb, Star once climbed the side of the cage while I was cleaning it. I didnt see her until I got the sensation of someone watching me and there she was on top of a magazine on the side of the top watching what i was doing. I freaked a little.

Mine climb and have now graduated to flying leaps. I read also that Guinea Pigs are reluctant explorers.

Lies.

My pigs can, with apparent ease, leap six inches from standing so I've no doubt that they could climb onto a three inch high pillow. :)

Proper little mountaineers they are. I have two that aren't content unless they've climbed from my lap to my shoulder to survey their land! :))

They absolutely can climb and jump despite what books/the internet says. Apparently like someone else said they are not confident explorers but my Angus can jump 10" easily, escape any sort of pen you put him in, open the food box and get in it and will climb, jump and chew anything he can get a hold of!
Suilven happily hurdles the rails on the bottom of the dining room chairs which are 3" tall so they will get on a cushion like that no problem!
