Can a guinea pigs breed contribute to its personality? I have an abysinian and a pig i believe to be a peruvian though I'm not sure.

I forgot to add that other factors may also influence the personality of your guinea pig (socialization, past owners, etc.) :)
I hope that this helps! :)
I would wait for a better answer, though.
I love guinea pigs, but I am not an expert!

I don't really have enough experience of this, as we don't really have different breeds..we have two crested ladies, one is still just shy and skittish, but will eat out of the lap one is an absolute nutter, and will climb over the grids and just throw herself on our laps for pets. the others just well they are all their own piggy person..In honesty it all gets a bit too eugenics-y for me..I am also not a fan of breeding anything or anyone for a set of characteristics..Apologies if I inadvertently offend folk.

I love everypig and everyone mostly :D

I don't really think temperament is dependent on breeds. Apart from certain health issues for Satin breeds and for the Lethal piggies (blind and deaf), or for Skinny piggies needing to be fed more than the other breeds, I don't think you need to look out for particular or specific characteristics and their personalities by basing it on the breeds.

I partly agree, however usually dog (or cat) breeds usually have individual traits but thats mainly defined by what they were used for in the past. Though alot of "fighting dogs" are very friendly so i guess its controversial
