Can two seperate boars be put together momentarily for a photoshoot or will they fight?

I'd love to get a photo of all four of my boars together, my older two, Gilbert and Ludwig, with my youngsters Romano and Arthur.
But I was wondering, can you do this for a few minutes or will it not work out?

It could be risky. When I have put my two boars on the floor next to my neutered boar and his wives cage there has been a lot of teeth chattering. I personally wouldnt risk it, but others may disagree.
If you do decide to try it, it would be worthwhile having a towel to hand just in case anything starts, you can put the towel over them, its better than using your hand to separate them (I learnt that the hard way with two boys and it was very painful!)

Thank you fore the answer.

I just see group shots all the time so I had wondered if you could.

I'm not quite sure if I want to risk it. Ludwig and Gilbert are a lot older than the other two. 2 and 3. Whereas Romano and Arthur are about 16 and 18 weeks or so.

I don't think I'd risk it either. I have two un-neutered boars and a sow and husboar and when we've had a boar and husboar on seperate laps for cuddles there has been much teeth nashing across the great cushion divide. I think if I'm ever going to get a group shot myself it'll be through photo-editing! ;)

Ohhh! So thats how you all do it!

I should have known. I use photo editing all the time. xD

Thank you! I'm going to try and edit a photo of them all together. x)

if you do - you will need two of you one person behind the camera and another person to wear thick gloves and be ready to separate at a seconds notice

The PEW and the longhaired in my avatar are both neutered boars. I was lucky that both are quite laid back even with the girls around. I couldn't let them have floor time together though.

I have made sure that my two neutered boars have either several stair steps and/or basically all the girls in between them. The second boar was added only at the last moment (waiting in a carrier on the floor) and immediately removed again after the couple of minutes I took for the photoshoot, well before they could notice each other.

I would not recommend putting two boars next to each other when there have been bloody fights between them.

i think you should photo shop it or whatever its called I'm not that technical as i put my boar pair next to my lone boar and the dominant one of the pair foxy took his anger out on his friend choco and it was not pretty and was not fair on choco i feel so guilty but they are ok now but i wouldnt risk it as poor choco had his ear took off.

Wow that's terrible :(
You would not believe these lovely gentle creatures could be capable of such a thing :...
Hope Choco recovered well.

Oh wow! Thank you for the replies everyone. I definitely think I'll just photoshop them all together. Thanks. =)
