Hi! :)
I was cleaning my guinea pigs' enclosure this morning and realized that it was time for a change of scenery. The wooden hides do not smell like fresh wood anymore, and the piggies are getting bored with their toys (both DIY and storebought).
Can anyone recommend where I can buy reasonably priced hides and toys online? I would prefer not to use Amazon, as I have read reviews stating that wooden toys from the company often arrive moldy or broken.
I tried looking at Small Pet Select, as well, but their cheapest wood hide is $63 or 50.40£. (Sorry if that is written incorrectly).
P.S.
US companies, if possible, please. :)
Thank you!

toys - treat balls or treat dispensing cat toys
hides - I just use bendy bridges, cardboard boxes and corner hammocks

I don't know about any specific brands but lot's of places like etsy or ebay will have things

I got a nice willow tube and a wooden house from zooplus. I would assume there's a US website but I don't know for definite. I managed to buy the wrong size of both and had to send them back and get the right one so make sure you check the sizes so you don't make my silly mistake 🤣

Thank you!
I have some new fleece hides for the piggies to try out. The only downside is that they have to be washed so often! :)

I don't buy any 'toys'.... mine just get cardboard boxes and cardboard tubes... free and very cheap... a cardboard kitchen roll tube stuffed with hay...put slits in it though ...

The only reason why I buy toys is because Stubbins loves to throw her toys around. She also plays "fetch" when I roll her willow ball to her. She chases after it and then proceeds to throw it around with her mouth.
The others LOVE chewing. I tried a cardboard box one time, and half of it was gone in an hour! :yikes:
I have always been a bit concerned about blockage. :)

Mine are currently making a new opening in their box 🤣🤣 they have a carrot cottage too and that lasts for ever ... I know some demolish those very fast too!

There is a site called haypigs.com and they have some really fun and cute enrichment items! They are UK based but the shipping is only $20.00 for all orders.

Pets at home- willow ball and log house. My girls love them.
