Hello,
Today we brought home a female guinea pig for a companion to my existing female guinea pig, Fizz. :smitten:
Fizz had been without guinea pig company for 3 weeks since her 2 friends went to the bridge :'(
The new guinea pig, Fluffy, is 9 months old and could no longer be looked after by her owner.
Everything seemed to be going so well...The meeting went well, the journey home went well and they have been in the run in the garden together all afternoon, but this evening they don't seem to be getting along like before.
Fizz appears to keep trying to nip Fluffy and keeps sniffing her rear end. It results in Fluffy being chased around the cage from time to time.
Can anyone shed any light as to what's going on, at all, and if there's anything I can do to help them both adjust to the change?
We really thought we were helping them both and didn't think pairing 2 sows would cause this :embarassed
