My little girl Milly has been showing odd behaviour, everthing else is fine eating etc. rolleyes
she will start to walk from side to side-moving her weight from the right to left an visa versa like she is wiggiling her bum-little minx lol.
and also she makes a very low purring noise this is nearly always followed by her popcorning!
she is 18 weeks old by the way
has anyone seen this before? xx :{

I'm not an expert but that sounds like shes in season.

I learnt today that sows come in to season every 17 days, so it could be that. Or if shes with other piggies, she could be displaying dominance.

Either way, it doenst sound like a health issue. Shes just growing up :)

:(|) she strutting her stuff hun :(|)
Does she live with a friend as this is a dominance thing. My piggies still rumblestrut occasionally at each other despite being the best of friends - usually happens over sleeping areas or fave foods rolleyes
Sows tend to use their ample booties as a weapon whereas boars will face off more, heads as high as possible until the other piggy gives up and backs off rolleyes. My boys will crane their necks at each other but the girls just bump each other out of the way with those delicious butts :(|)

Thank you

thank you all very much! yes she lives with her sisiter dotty, there was dominance issues before but that all seattled down guess i can put it down to pmt lol eh they do there best to scare me mallethead bstill love them tho xx

Yes my two girls do it when in season, also humping, bum sniffing, chasing etc can go on for a day or so. Fun times!
