I think that my two have had a fall out because they usually snuggle up together, but I have noticed that they are spending time away from each other in their hutch. I also had them both on my knee earlier and they kept kind of snapping at each other (not biting each other though). They still call for each other though when separated. Just wondering if they've had a bit of a disagreement and will they make friends again soon. I don't want to be in a situation you sometimes get with boars, where they fall out forever :'(

they have probably had a bit of a row just like all mates :) I'm sure they will be ok

Bit hormonal? They'll be ok :)

When girls properly fall out, it seems to be even worse than the boys! But they can just have little bickering stages, 2 of mine are at opposite ends of the hutch at the moment scowling at each other, they usually make up!

they have most probably just had a tiff, just keep an eye on them for a few days and see if they settle done O0 maybe one of them took the biggest carrot or something and they are at wars over it ;D ;D ;D seriously hoping they will settle down soon :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

In my experience sows that are used to living together are fine. They might have their fall-outs, like most girls in life, but should be ok. It is the recently put together sows that will need watching. One will probably be dominate over the other, but that's normal life.

Boars, however, I found were different. I had two brothers kept together since birth and hand-reared by me as mum didn't want to, or couldn't feed them, although she had milk. They lived happily together until puberty ... then all hell let loose! I had to separate them.

Keep us posted!

Thanks for the advice guys. I think that they have just had a little tiff. They aren't close to each other again just yet, but they ate out of the same bowl this morning so the recent icy atmosphere must be warming O0
