Sorry if this seems like a silly question but was wondering if a neutered boy can live with an un-neutered boy?
Flash and Gordon have been living happily together since day one (they'll be 3 in March). I have noticed a really small lump on Flash's testicle, and am wondering if I have him castrated because of the lump would it upset the balance? Would I need to get them both done at the same time?
I've not been to the vet about it yet, as have only just noticed it, I will get him seen very soon, just would like to be prepared with the info first, it doesn't seem to be causing him any bother. Anyone have any experience with lumps on testicles?

Thanks in advance x

They can still live together neutered or not - if they are a bonded pair it shouldn't make any difference :).

Thank you. I wasn't sure if having him neutered would make him more likely to get picked on by Gordon, as Gordon is already the dominant of the two. Thankfully they are very well bonded x

Has the vet said it needs to be done then?

The lump could be anything, even as simple as an abcess, so don't worry about any ops just yet.

No like I say he's not been to the vet yet, I was just wanting to prepare with information in case it was suggested. I always worry about the worst thing :{ Thanks for reassuring that it might not even need an op.

Sorry didn't read about not being to the vet yet. Try not to think the worst, it could be something soooo small, and I hope for the three of you it is!

If he does have to be 'chopped' do make sure you get a really good vet to do it, as it just decreases the chances of things going wrong x

Bart and Rebel live together no problem. Bart was already neutered when I got him, rebel is 10 weeks old on Friday. They've been living together since Rebel was 2 and a half weeks old with no incidents whatsoever. ;)
