Can my one year old guinea pig and her 3 week old baby girl live with another girl?

I am possitave that all 3 are female. The cage is probably about 8 feet squared? I think. And they each have their own hide and plenty of room. They get along so far. Can they all live in this cage while the baby is still a little peanut?20181126_151904.webp

8 square feet is on the small side for three piggies. Ideally three piggies would need 12 square feet ie a cage measuring 6ft by 2ft

Three female piggies can live together, but that cage looks far too small even for two, could you consider a bigger cage?

3 girls can definitely live together happily, if they are good friends, but I think a few of us on the forum would question whether 8 square feet is big enough for 3 piggies. It certainly isnt a large cage size, especially for 3.

I have 3 girls that live together with a neutered boar. As long as they are willing to accept each other its fine HOWEVER that is not a 8ft square cage it rather looks like an 80cm cage. I originally had a 100cm ferplast before I knew the sizing guidelines and your cage is clearly smaller than that.

Unfortunately your cage is not big enough for even one guinea pig on its own let alone 3. Please view our cage size guide which highlights the minimum sizes set out by the RSPCA/Humane Society, your cage will need to be 150cm x 60cm or 2 foot by 5 foot for 3 piggies Cage Size Guide

I have a ferplast cage I attatched a run to, would you be able to do that?
I dare say my ferplast cage is a bit bigger than yours though, and it’s only for two boars...

Yes that's about 5 square feet, everyone I'm sure was sold one of those initially but apart from a temporary hospital cage for 1 piggy for 3 or 4 days they arent much use unless you extend with a big permanent run!

I would first make sure they are all girls and not mixed with boys.

Yes, I made that mistake with my first pig. The professional guinea pig breeder that we got her from told us that she was a boy. So we got HIM a friend. And then I ended up with a very pregnant piggy and a baby girl. So I have learned how to check for sure anx get a second opinion.

A advise you shop online for a cage. Look up ferplast krolik 160. They are around £60 - £70 on zooplus. Pets@home and even more so with smaller pet shops sell cages at total rip off prices. Because they know they are a must have once you have fell in love with your pigs

Have you looked up the forum threads on C&C cages? I was initially a bit skeptical but now we have one I'd never go back to pet shop cages... a 5x2 C&C would be a very nice size for 3 girls... then you can build an extension on if you accidentally adopt more piggies :)
