As you are all aware, our beloved Wiebke is in hospital after a fall which resulted in a broken hip. She's now had her operation but won't be mobile for the foreseeable future. With permission from her husband David, looking after the tribe is going to be difficult as he has been poorly himself. Do we have any members in the Coventry area who would be willing to assist with the care of the piggies and everything that goes with looking after piggies. If you could reply on this topic, that way David and Wiebke will be able to contact you to exchange contact details. Please don't contact them direct and please wait for them to contact you. Many thanks. 👍

We'll see what Wiebke and David say. 👍

I'm probably the closest, I'm only 5 miles away.
David DMd me earlier, I've just spoken to him and said I would call by tomorrow (when I'm in Coventry anyway) and help with doing a cage clean. We can also chat over a pile of piggy-poop about any other help he might need in the near future.
I may be able to look after one of Wiebke's groups if needed, my OH said we could have a cage in the dining room again temporarily (my usual accommodation in hutches in the outbuilding wouldn't be suitable for W's indoor piggies).

I live up north in Denbigh and won't be much help unfortunately. I'm crossing my fingers though that someone can help them with the piggies. 🤞🤞 It's not good for Wiebke and David worrying about the piggies as well when they need to take care of their health too.

You star! 👍

I'm the opposite end of the country in north west Cumbria. I can see Scotland over the water from me.

too far away too but if there’s any other way we can help please let us know.

I’m so glad that @Qualcast&Flymo is able to help. I wish I could have taken some here, but TEAS is full to capacity, with fosterers maxed out too!

If a pet sitter is needed, it shouldn’t be too expensive. I’ve offered this through my pet care business and only charge a small amount for a local home visit.

My thoughts are with Wiebke and David xx

Yes, crowd funding a pet sitter would be a good thing if it is OK, even if just as a supplement to other help with the piggies.

Sorry too far away down here in Cornwall but wishing Wiebke and David all the very best

It’s wonderful to see this spirit on the forum. I’d be happy to help with a pet sitter if we could find one who’s happy to go in and help with the cage cleaning (and the laundry - might be worth looking into using more disposable bedding in the short term).
