Hi!
Over the past 48 hours, I have noticed that my piggies have produced six calcium deposits. Four of them are smooth and dried into the fleece, while the other two have a slightly gritty texture on top. I have not changed their diet and they all look happy and are running around playing as I write this. What should I do?
A few notes-
  • Their water is filtered.
  • They have been on the same pellets for six months (1 tablespoon each).
  • They have been on the same timothy/orchard grass blend for nearly two years.
I am really concerned. :(
Any advice is much appreciated!

I think if they’re not all gritty they should be okay. Remember you can’t completely eliminate calcium from their diet and it is normal for it to be excreted in the urine.

Thank you so much! :)
I am going to replace the filter as well (just to be safe).
