Hi everyone,
Just wondering if I could use cagefresh granules under fleece to help keep it fresher or is it just used for wood shavings and hay. I've just switched to fleece which my boys love, me too except I still need to change it every other day cos it starts to get a bit whiffy. I know there are loads of fleece lovers out there - what do you do?. I DONT want to go back to wood shavings.mallethead . all answers greatly appreciated. Ps. my two 12 week old boys both fell asleep on me this afternoon, thats the first time I've seen them soo relaxed, I was stroking them, they started yawning and nodded off it was sooooo sweet.x) They even managed to ignore my six year old daughter arguing with her sister.

I think the carefresh would stick to the fleece and make a horrible mess, unfortunately!

How much fleece smells depends on how big your cage is and what you have under your fleece. Most people agree that just newspaper goes smelly quite quickly. Some say towels do too, though I had towels and didn't think som. Some of us hardcore fleece lovers have ducked the embaressment of ordering adult incontinence bedpads online. This is amazing! The fleece will still smell when it gets dirty (how long this takes depends on your cage, but you can usually change just the fleece once or twice (again, depending on the "output "of your piggies and the size of your cage.) before you need to change the incontinence pads too. I also know some people use disposable puppy pads!

use washable incontinence pads! they are definitely the way forward for keeping everything dry and non smelly!

thanks i'll start looking online for the incontinence pads. I'm amazed, the things you learn from you old timers! (excuse the pun). Let you know how I get on.
