I currently have a cage that I think is too little. I'm getting a second cage today that is close to the same size from a fellow rescuer. My plan is to create a "breezeway" between the two cages so both my piggies have more space. Do you think this is a good idea? The cage I currently have is already missing cross bars and although Mami and Tink don't seem interested, I worry about them escaping or my cats entering (currently blocking the space with some plastic part that was attached to the cage when I got it). I also noticed that many people put blankets down in the bottoms of the cages instead of the bedding that came with mine. Why is this? Is it better for them? (Sorry for the mess, I haven't cleaned their cage yet today.. I've had to clean it daily, they poop a lot! Is this good fertilizer?)
