Hi all I was wondering if I could use real glass on my cage

It depends on the design- is there going to be a roof or is it open top because you need to bare in mind ventilation. Clear acrylic does the same thing.

Open top with wood around the glass I just hope I can afford it

I have toughened glass on one of my cages (this one isn't actually where my piggies live, it is my pygmy hedgehogs home)

We got it from a local glass supplier that cut it to the size we needed. Here's a photo (please ignore her mucky wheel!)

Acrylic is cheaper than glass and safer. Have you seen @piggie.slave new cage? Go take a look at their new thread -I'd link it but idk how lol

A diy store should sell some and I believe you can order it from offline

You can get acrylic online too, just type in acrylic sheet into google and loads pop up!
