Just moved piggies into a new cage it has 2 floor 2 shelves and a few ramps. They seem scared of ramps....will they adjust or am in trouble?
I was afraid their little nailes will get caught in the carpet...I only have the one ramp in my cage but I have it placed in a brick to make it less steep, have attached carpet to it and it has a fleece ramp tunnel to make it extra safe. My piggies love zooming up and down it but I’m afraid not all piggies like ramps.
I was worried that my new piggy wouldn’t use it but she followed her new friends and now spends more time upstairs than down and loves to do zoomies up and down.
Just give them time and try what has been suggested and hopefully they’ll come round to the idea
Ohhhh good idea. TyIs there anything for their feet to grab onto like carpet? Mine used the ramp in the hutch much more when I added a bit of carpet to it with waterproof carpet tape. I let my piggies run on it while it wasn't attached to get their scent on it. Piggies follow scent spores as then they know it's safe to go there.
No I haven't gotten him yet. Oh god thank you glad you alerted me to this. Would hot glueing fleece to the ramps be ok?Does that mean you are now keeping three males together? I am really so sorry to be a downer but it is important you know that three males together is usually a recipe for disaster. Three boars together is highly likely to fail and result in fights. Pairs of boars are the most that will live happily together.

That would make it permanent. You would need to change/wash it every so often. If you want to change it use velcro. No I haven't gotten him yet. Oh god thank you glad you alerted me to this. Would hot glueing fleece to the ramps be ok?
